Who I Am

My name is Alper Tunç Ortak. I was born in 2001, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering in Warsaw. I see my academic journey not only as a formal education process, but as a continuous path of self-development, exploration, and production.

Between 2019 and 2023, I studied Agricultural Engineering (Soil Science and Plant Nutrition) at Ankara University. During this time, I developed a strong analytical mindset; however, I realized that my long-term interests were more aligned with technology and software systems. Based on this decision, I shifted my career path and moved to Poland to pursue Computer Engineering.

Throughout my studies, I have focused on building practical skills across software development, financial technologies, and system design. By working on crypto-related projects, I gained hands-on experience in data analysis, real-time systems, and automation, always aiming to turn ideas into functional and scalable solutions.

One of my key projects, a crypto data pipeline and Discord bot, reflects this approach. I designed a modular system using object-oriented programming principles, integrating real-time data streams and external APIs, with a strong focus on structure, scalability, and maintainability.

I am highly detail-oriented and able to fully focus on a task once I commit to it, often working deeply until I understand and refine every aspect of a system. In addition to my technical background, I have a strong sense of aesthetics and a creative mindset, which influences how I approach user interfaces and overall user experience.

My Approach & Mindset

I approach software development with a focus on clarity, structure, and depth. My goal is to understand how systems work at a fundamental level and to build solutions that are efficient, reliable, and easy to maintain.

Rather than simply implementing features, I aim to analyze problems, identify bottlenecks, and improve systems over time. I value clean architecture, thoughtful design decisions, and long-term maintainability in every project I work on.

Career Direction

My current work is primarily focused on backend development and data-oriented systems. Through projects involving real-time data processing, automation, and API integrations, I have been building a strong foundation in developing structured and scalable backend solutions.

At the same time, I continue to explore broader areas of software engineering and expand my skill set beyond a single specialization.

Career Goals

My long-term goal is to become a strong backend or full-stack engineer, capable of building high-performance and scalable systems. While my current projects are more focused on backend development and data analysis, I remain adaptable and open to advancing in different areas of software engineering.

I aim to contribute to systems that solve real-world problems and deliver measurable value, while continuously improving my technical skills and understanding of modern technologies.
